Job Overview

We manage over 166,000 hectares of plantation and native forest in Tasmania.

  • We are seeking a skilled individual to architect, deploy, maintain, and develop our resource information systems – ArcGIS Enterprise and GeoMaster.
  • The successful candidate will implement best practice architecture for server-side GIS technology, SQL databases, and related applications.
  • Key responsibilities include normalising and centralising core datasets within an SQL environment.
  • The ideal candidate will configure and develop mobile, web, and desktop GIS software to support business requirements.
  • Ongoing troubleshooting, maintenance, and development of Resource Systems is also required to ensure timely and accurate spatial data access for staff.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Spatial Sciences, IT, Geography, Natural Resource Management, or Environmental Science is essential.
  • The successful candidate must be proficient with ArcGIS Enterprise suite of products, RDBMS, and SDE.
  • Database administration skills and GeoMaster forest management system skills are advantageous.
