About the Role

The Personnel Security Intelligence Officer role at Legal Aid NSW has a primary focus on personnel security related functions.

The personnel security related functions include utilising an array of information and intelligence sources to conduct and contribute to assessments for security clearances in accordance with relevant regulations, and to contribute to insider threat detection and assessments of security incidents and threats against the organisation and its staff.

The role will allow you to utilise your strong intelligence analysis, research and assessment skills to explore the background and character of employees to determine their suitability for access to sensitive and classified information and resources in a secure environment.

You will also provide administrative support to the organisation's People & Culture Manager, including the coordination and administration of various HR-related functions, as required.

This position will give you the opportunity to analyse intelligence from a range of government, law enforcement and online sources and make recommendations that contribute to the protective security measures of Legal Aid NSW.

Security Vetting

The recommended candidates must be willing to participate in and secure appropriate security clearances by providing comprehensive details about their personal and financial interests and other relevant information about themselves, their families and their associates.

It is a condition of employment at Legal Aid NSW that a member of staff obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the relevant authorities.
