We are seeking an experienced Tenancy Officer to join our team in Ipswich.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tenancies, providing a high-quality service to tenants, and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • This role requires excellent communication and customer care skills, as well as a flexible approach to working.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for a patch consisting of general needs, home for older people, and affordable housing properties
  • Effective management of anti-social behavior cases
  • Liaising with colleagues in Property Services and Lettings to ensure the effective allocation of void properties
  • Managing tenant expectations regarding repairs and escalating any property maintenance issues affecting tenant welfare via appropriate channels
  • Managing complaints about service delivery
  • Working with colleagues in other service areas to help the organisation meet its compliance obligations (fire safety, water hygiene, gas safety, and data protection)
  • Delivering general advice on all aspects of tenancy to enable sustainability
  • Working with a range of external agencies to resolve a range of issues affecting tenant welfare, including domestic abuse, anti-social behavior, and safeguarding
  • Working closely with administrative colleagues to complete a range of tenancy management processes, which include; tenancy conversions, permissions, mutual exchanges, successions, service charges, and enforcement of tenancy breaches
