Radio Frequency Engineer

Raytheon Australia is a trusted partner in delivering complex engineering projects for the Australian Defence Force. We're seeking a skilled Radio Frequency (RF) communications engineer to join our team and contribute to the defence of our nation.
About the RoleAs an RF communications engineer, you'll play a key role in establishing Electronic Warfare training ranges in Australia. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing engineering solutions for the design, analysis, implementation, test, and lifecycle support of MTTES components, modules, and subsystems.
- Developing system change proposals using change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards.
- Supporting operational MTTES systems regarding production and support of maintenance procedures, system troubleshooting, and liaison with Operations & Maintenance staff.
- Working with various RF communications aspects, including antenna co-site analysis, RF coverage analysis, and radiation hazard analysis.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A tertiary qualification (4-year engineering degree) and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience in RF communications design within a process-driven engineering environment.
- Prior experience with ICT-networked RF communication systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel to regional and remote locations to perform small team/independent work.
- Demonstrated experience with managing the safety & risk assessment process and addressing risks through system safety design practices.
- Eligibility for a security clearance at a level of Negative Vetting Level 1 with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
