About the Role

Ventia is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Specialist to join their team working across the Smart Link Alliance contract.

This is a full-time permanent role working across a rotating roster out of our office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and governance of SHEQ programs, processes, and systems into the project while driving consistency in line with business and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the implementation of Safety Management Plans across the project
  • Ensuring risk assessment and risk registers are developed and maintained
  • Ensuring that the Ventia "Critical Risk Protocols" are embedded in the project
  • Reviewing and seeking improvements to SHEQ through personal example and behaviors
  • Promoting the participation of all people in achieving a safe workplace with zero impact on the environment
  • Seeking to meet Tf NSW Specification quality requirements
  • Supporting supervisors in conducting toolbox talks and safety shares
  • Undertaking SWMS and risk assessments on complex construction tasks
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to work a rotating roster (2 weeks day shift, followed by 2 weeks night shift)
  • Previous experience in the construction industry
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Current driver's license
