Warehouse Associate Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Associate to join our team in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling and movement of stock, operating a forklift, truck driving, and general warehouse duties as directed by a supervisor.

About the Job

This role focuses on providing exceptional support to our operations team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating a forklift to load and unload delivery trucks, move stock around the premises as directed, and maintain a tidy storage area.
  • Receiving and accurately recording donated stock and preparing stock for dispatch to regional branches and remote agencies.
  • Replenishing stock levels on the Agency Floor, the chilled, frozen and retail areas, and removing empty pallets and packaging. Checking date codes.
  • Completing quality checks to ensure adherence to safety and health standards.
  • Delivering product to freight companies for forwarding to Regional Foodbanks and regional and remote destinations.
Necessary Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience and demonstrated ability in warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, especially with volunteer staff.
  • Medical clearance of current health status.
  • National Police clearance and Working with Children accreditation.
  • Capacity for regular lifting.
  • Current and valid driver's licence.
  • Knowledge of HACCP processes and OH&S procedures is desirable.
  • Current and valid Forklift HR /MR licence is desirable.
