Job Title: Community Engagement and Economic Development Officer

We are seeking a skilled Community Engagement and Economic Development Officer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and individuals to improve their economic participation outcomes.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality advice and support to our regional team on local issues related to the implementation of whole-of-government initiatives or strategies. They will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining networks and relationships with local, state, and commonwealth government agencies, private sector organizations, and community groups to achieve better service delivery outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to prepare complex reports, briefs, and other forms of correspondence that will inform senior management's decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality advice and support to the regional team on local issues related to the implementation of whole-of-government initiatives or strategies.
  • Establish and maintain networks and relationships with local, state, and commonwealth government agencies, private sector organizations, and community groups.
  • Prepare complex reports, briefs, and other forms of correspondence that will inform senior management's decision-making.
  • Identify, manage, and report risks related to your work.
