The Opportunity

Pursue a rewarding role as a skilled Mechanical Fitter with our Maintenance Team at Ulan Underground Mine. You will be part of a high-performing crew driving productivity through efficient maintenance processes under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor.

About this role:

  • Maintain and operate underground mining equipment and heavy machinery to achieve target outputs effectively.
  • Implement risk management strategies associated with maintenance activities.
  • Execute planned maintenance schedules and respond to breakdowns with suitable fault-finding approaches.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production personnel for safe and productive outcomes.

Your ideal skills and qualifications include:

  • A mechanical trade qualification or relevant industry experience.
  • A strong focus on safety, including risk management knowledge and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Previous experience working in coal mining, preferably in an underground environment.
