Culinary Professional Wanted

We are seeking a skilled culinary professional to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong cooking skills, a passion for delivering exceptional service, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to patients, ensuring that all food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

They will also be required to liaise with management and facility staff, lead and supervise a team of cooks, and provide coaching and development opportunities to ensure the delivery of exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation area and kitchen equipment.
  2. Prepare and serve meals to patients as per recipe guide.
  3. Maintain food stock levels and monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  4. Implement Food Safety Program and maintain accurate records.
  5. Liaise with management and facility staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  6. Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional service.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cooking or equivalent qualification.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate required.
  • Available for shifts over a 7 day roster including weekend work.
  • Experience in hospital or hotel food service environment preferred.
