Drilling Rigs Assembler Role

In this full-time position, we are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our team in Perth. The successful candidate will assist with assembly, manufacturing, workshop maintenance, and general support for our experienced trades team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the assembly and dismantling process, including bolting and screwing operations.
  • Read, interpret, and implement engineering drawings to ensure accurate results.
  • Prepare and maintain clean work surfaces and workshop areas, adhering to high standards of tidiness.
  • Assist tradespersons by handing tools and holding materials as needed, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Implement and maintain WHS standards and environmental protocols, ensuring a secure and sustainable workplace.
  • Perform regular housekeeping duties, focusing on cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist in the movement of freight, packaging, and delivery within the office, meeting productivity expectations.
  • Manage stock systems and participate in stocktaking activities, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience (1 year) in a similar role or industry is preferred, demonstrating transferable skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills, with some experience in mechanical repairs, servicing, or fabricating advantageous.
  • A valid Australian Driver's License (C Class); HR & Forklift licenses beneficial.
  • A good level of physical fitness, enabling the ability to perform tasks requiring strength and endurance.
  • A strong commitment to WHS practices, prioritizing safety and well-being.
