Job Description

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across ENGINEERINGUK to drive the operations of one of the world's largest and complex networks.

  1. Support and maintain next-generation networks.
  2. Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes.
  3. Partner with our broader Technical Operations organization to reduce operational burden.
  4. Work closely with our broader Network Engineering & Deployment teams to ensure operational readiness for new deployments.
  5. Drive standards across the network and ensure we are fully compliant with those standards and policies.
  6. Participate in and drive impact mitigation during large-scale events utilizing an established Event Management process.
  7. Drive event deep dives for large-scale events, deliver high-quality documentation, and drive corrective actions to completion.
  8. Improve detection mechanisms by designing and implementing new alerts.
  9. Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform issues for full resolution.
  10. Create and review documentation and processes regarding recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.
  11. Troubleshoot interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low-level application interaction.
  12. Identify and drive opportunities to automate repeatable tasks through the creation and maintenance of scripts and tools.
