The Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) is a national gathering that brings together thousands of young Catholics from across Australia. As a volunteer, you will play an active role in creating a welcoming and enriching environment for our youth.
The festival serves as a beacon of hope, culminating our Jubilee Year celebrations by empowering young people to encounter Christ and give witness to the hope that does not disappoint – Jesus Christ.
A Diverse Range of Roles- Welcome Officers
- Pilgrimage walk hosts (Sunday)
- Zone Wardens (monitoring areas assigned)
- Door monitors (entry to venue and various spaces)
- Activity support officers (supporting the logistics planned activities)
- Crowd monitors (plenary events including concerts)
- Liturgy team support
- Venue setup and pack up
The festival will take place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on Sunday, 30th November – Tuesday, 2nd December 2025.
What's Involved in Being a Volunteer?Festival volunteers will be invited to participate in a festival induction process which will include information on:
- The festival venue and activities
- Role-specific orientation
- Safe work practices & safeguarding
Please note that we require commitment for at least one day of the festival.
