Join our fleet of mapping vehicles as a skilled Operator, working in the Australian outback and urban areas.

This is a casual contract position with flexible hours, not exceeding 6 months. If you have experience as a coordinator or driver, we encourage you to apply.

The role requires working in Melbourne and Sydney areas, traveling to other locations within those territories. It is preferred that you reside in Victoria or New South Wales, as this allows for easier access without prior quarantine requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate mapping vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the mapping team.
- Maintain professional interactions with fellow operators, coordinators, and members of the public.
- Follow mission instructions and work protocols as directed by Regional Managers.
- Work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and notify management of any issues.
- Exercise caution when operating equipment, especially considering height restrictions and low-hanging objects.
- Securely park vehicles to protect equipment and prevent damage.
- Adhere to security protocols and instructions from managers.
- Maintain confidentiality of project data and information collected.
- Record required logs as specified by Regional Managers.
- Monitor and operate sensor equipment on a daily basis in the mapping vehicle.
- Prioritize equipment functionality and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Be an Australian citizen, hold a Legal Residence Card, or possess a valid Working Visa with no restrictions (Student Visas not accepted).
- Hold a valid operator's license for operation in any state.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills.
- Showcase ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Listen attentively to managers and complete tasks efficiently.
- Possess basic technical knowledge of maps, phones, and tablet computers.
- Exhibit logical thinking and follow technical instructions accurately.
- Have a good understanding of the Australian road network.
- Communicate effectively and prepare reports for managers as needed.
- Be physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs and performing bending and twisting actions.

Requirements:

- Valid Australian driver's license
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
