Job Title: Paediatric Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Surgeon to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care to children and young people, with a focus on subspecialty colorectal surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist paediatric surgical clinical services, including subspecialty colorectal surgery
  • Participate in the on-call roster at the direction of the Director of Paediatric Surgery
  • Undertake outreach services at other locations across the state of Victoria, as required
  • Supervise trainees and participate in the department's educational program
  • Engage in quality improvement activities and meetings of the department
Requirements:
  • Registered as a specialist medical practitioner with AHPRA and FRACS (Paediatric Surgery) or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' recent experience as a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon in an Australian tertiary-level paediatric hospital
  • Higher academic degree (PhD, MD) with experience as an academic clinician
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in gastrointestinal motility disorders
