To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional baking environment.
  • Provide evidence of qualifications, work history, a valid passport, and police clearances.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure the timely production of bakery items to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage the ordering of ingredients and supplies.
  • Develop new recipes and bakery products to enhance the product range.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality outputs.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any feedback or concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a professional bakery setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in baking or pastry arts.
  • Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy ingredients.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, to ensure effective communication.
