Lifestyle Support Assistant

Eldercare is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lifestyle Support Assistant.

This permanent part-time opportunity is available at our Hope Valley site. Additional shifts can also be picked up on a casual basis.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing lifestyle support to our residents, promoting their wellbeing and enhancing their quality of life.

They will work closely with the care team to develop and implement individualized plans that cater to the unique needs and preferences of each resident.

The role involves arranging recreational and leisure pursuits, as well as participating in activities that promote socialization and community engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Be a vibrant and enthusiastic person to join our team
  • Hold or be in the process of obtaining qualifications related to leisure, health or community services
  • Experience in participating and arranging recreational or leisure pursuits
  • Specific experience working with Older People, an advantage if dementia specific
  • Be passionate about enhancing the wellbeing of our residents
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be enthusiastic and motivated, showing a willingness to learn
  • Great time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to think with initiative
  • Interact positively with residents and their families
