We are seeking a dedicated Intensive Care Registrar to join our dynamic team for the 2026 clinical year.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to work with a legend in ICU, Prof David Tuxen, and be part of a major regional health service and specialist referral facility.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a wide range of acute specialist medical and surgical services, including emergency department, critical care unit (ICU, HDU, CCU), obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, specialised aged care, medical oncology services, community rehabilitation, inpatient, community, aged and psycho-geriatric mental health services.

Our organisation is accredited by the College of Intensive Care Medicine for basic foundation training, making us an ideal choice for doctors interested in pursuing ICU training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties with adherence to our strategic plan and compliance with the Code of Behaviour for staff.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Experience in Intensive Care or relevant specialty.
  • Minimum of PGY3 or above.
  • Ability to comply with the 'Behavioural Outcomes' for this role.
  • A current National Police Check.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • Demonstrated commitment to rural/regional practice.
