Debt Recovery Specialist

The Debt Recovery Specialist is a vital member of our team, responsible for managing debtor ledgers and ensuring timely payments from customers.
This role involves accurate account reconciliation, reducing overdue balances, and providing key insights to improve collection activities.
Effective time management and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders are essential in this dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Manage a dedicated debtor ledger to minimize outstanding balances.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers to secure timely payments.
- Monitor sales orders and credit limits to prevent bad debt.
- Provide regular feedback and insights to improve collection processes.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in credit control or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced level understanding of Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
