This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of front-end project development, regulatory and commercial matters in a company accelerating Australia's transition to renewable energy.
Job Role:- Advise on legal, compliance, and regulatory aspects of energy storage projects from origination to operation.
- Lead due diligence and negotiation of project agreements, including MOUs, landowner agreements, equipment supply contracts, and power offtake arrangements.
- Provide legal input on governance, policies, and corporate legal work.
- Collaborate with commercial and project delivery teams on procurement, contract management, and risk.
- Monitor relevant regulatory and legislative changes in the renewables and energy storage space.
The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience as a projects, energy, or infrastructure lawyer in private practice or in-house. They will be admitted as a lawyer in Australia, familiar with regulatory and risk frameworks, and possess strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills.
They will also be collaborative, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a commercial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
