Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients undergoing surgery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes, including surgeons, anaesthetists, and other nurses.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to perioperative nursing practice.
- Contribute to the education and training of other nurses and healthcare professionals in perioperative nursing practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety in the perioperative setting.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience in perioperative nursing.
- Bachelor of Nursing Degree or equivalent.
- Current AHPRA practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse.
- Adaptability and resilience in a busy, clinically complex environment.
- Flexibility to work a 24/7, rotating roster.
- A commitment to the mission of UnitingCare Hospitals and the attainment of the goals of the Nursing Division.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
- Prepared to comply with and uphold the terms and conditions of employment for nursing staff as per the relevant UnitingCare Health Enterprise Agreement.
