About the Job
As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in delivering a major IT enhancement project for our organization. The Trade Measurement Activity and Reporting System Phase 4 Enhancement Project aims to deliver critical enhancements to our Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and associated NMI Services Portal as part of our broader digital strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the data lifecycle, experience working with Dynamics 365 CRM applications with external portals, and the ability to map current data holdings, inputs and dependencies impacted by the project. You will also be responsible for researching and recommending options for improvement and designing and implementing data architecture and integration frameworks that enable best practice data lifecycle management and ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Map existing data holdings, inputs and dependencies impacted by the project
- Investigate and recommend optimisation of the use of data holdings for different streams of the project
- Design and implement data architecture and integration frameworks that enable best practice data lifecycle management and ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies and regulations
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimise existing reporting processes, including setting standards for data accuracy and quality

Requirements
We are seeking an experienced professional with demonstrated experience as a Data Architect in Australian Public Service settings, preferably within agencies with regulatory compliance responsibilities. You will have a strong analytical and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including well-developed negotiation and presentation skills for diverse audiences. Additionally, you will have the ability to build and sustain relationships, liaise with a range of stakeholders within and outside of the division, and adhere to the Australian Public Service Values and Code of Conduct.

Benefits
This is a 10-month non-ongoing position being filled specifically for this project. Extension or ongoing conversion may be considered upon completion of the project. You will work collaboratively with other areas in the division, the department and across government to deliver outcomes and share knowledge. A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised.
