We are seeking a highly motivated Underground Mining Equipment Parts Specialist to join our team at 9885 SMC Australia.

As an Underground Mining Equipment Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying aftermarket parts and service sales opportunities for a key customer of Sandvik.

The position requires developing, maintaining, and growing the allocated customer account relationship through an effective account management process.

Your primary focus will be on providing representation to a key customer at a higher level, with a greater emphasis on medium to long-term goals for both the customer and Sandvik.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will identify aftermarket issues and opportunities, acting as liaison with the customer until resolution.
  • You will develop sales opportunities for all aftermarket products across various Sandvik product lines.
  • You will conduct gap analyses on existing fleets to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • You will ensure accounts adhere to terms and conditions of sale.
  • You will provide support in following up outstanding debtors.
  • You will liaise between the customer and Sandvik on aftermarket issues to settle them in a timely manner.
  • You will engage in predictive parts forecasting by analyzing the customer's maintenance strategy and planning to ensure parts availability meets customer demand and expectations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must be agile, work/task-oriented, and willing to accept challenges. You should be a motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A mechanical trade qualification or mechanical aptitude is essential for this position. Additionally, you must have the confidence to work underground and be willing to travel up to 40% nationally.
