The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, coding, testing, and debugging mainframe applications using Assembler language. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams are also essential.
Responsibilities:- Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using Assembler language.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Enhance and maintain existing applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement Connex on IBM Mainframe and Switch configurations for secure and efficient communication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Assembler applications, Connex, and Switch.
- Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mainframe Assembler Engineer with strong Assembler programming skills.
- Hands-on expertise with Connex and Switch technologies (configuration, integration, troubleshooting).
- Familiarity with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and mainframe tools is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Certifications in Mainframe technologies or Connex on IBM Mainframe/Switch are advantageous.
- 8+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in Connex on IBM and payments domain.
