Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head Gardener.

This position will play a vital part in ensuring our gardens and grounds are maintained to the highest standards, making it an ideal opportunity for those who take pride in their work and have a passion for horticulture.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our gardens, including supervision and tasking of gardeners. They will also be expected to plan, landscape, and maintain garden beds, identify any issues with gardens or trees, and report them to the relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and upkeep of gardens to a high standard.
  • Supervision and tasking of gardeners.
  • Planning and executing gardening projects.
  • Identifying and reporting any issues with gardens or trees.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate 3 in Horticulture or higher.
  • Minimum 5 years gardening experience.
  • Minimum 1 year as team leader.
  • Licensed commercial operator under the ACDC act.
  • Manual drivers license.
  • Chainsaw operators license.
  • Bobcat competency.
  • Experience with roses.
