Job Summary

This role involves working closely with our experienced Executive Chef to deliver high-quality food services across multiple locations. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse team, including cookery students, international interns, and highly trained chefs, while maintaining strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. SUPPORT BOTH FRONT AND BACK OF HOUSE TEAMS
  2. MONITOR KITCHEN EQUIPMENT AND REPORT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS TO APPROPRIATE STAKEHOLDERS
  3. CONTINUALLY DEVELOP CULINARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ACROSS A RANGE OF INTERNATIONAL CUISINE
  4. WORK WITH BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND EVENING MEAL OPTIONS FOR OUR VALUED QANTAS GUESTS. HIGH VOLUME FOOD PREPARATION EXPERIENCE INCLUDING BANQUETING OR FUNCTION WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE
  5. FOLLOW LOUNGE MENU SPECIFICATIONS
  6. STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF FOOD, HEALTH AND SAFETY OBLIGATIONS
  7. GREAT COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
  8. SOUND COMPUTER PROFICIENCY

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A QUALIFIED CHEF WITH A PASSION FOR FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
  • ABILITY TO WORK IN A HIGH-PRESSURE ENVIRONMENT
  • YOUR ROSTER MAY INCLUDE WEEKEND SHIFTS
  • EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
