About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our acute medical nursing team on Level 5 Medical Ward B, Catherine McAuley Centre.

The successful candidate will provide quality client-focused care to patients, their families, and carers, utilising a holistic approach and acting as a role model in practicing the core values of Mercy Health.

The role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide responsive and flexible service to our patients, families, and carers, while working within the scope of practice and upholding a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care, utilising a holistic approach and acting as a role model in practicing the core values of Mercy Health.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide responsive and flexible service to our patients, families, and carers.
  • Contribute to a learning environment and participate in ongoing education and professional development.
  • Adhere to Mercy Health's policies and procedures, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority, Division 1 registered nurse and a current practicing certificate.
  • Successful completion of a Graduate Nurse Program.
  • 3 – 4 years recent acute medical nursing experience in the Australian healthcare setting.
  • Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination, and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
