Production Operator Role

Norco is a 100% Australian, farmer-owned dairy co-operative that supports our communities through a ground-up approach.

We are seeking to add to our existing team, working in a supportive environment adjacent to our production floor. This role involves operating and maintaining blowmoulding machines that produce 2 and 3 litre bottles.

The ideal candidate will have previous machine operator experience or strong mechanical aptitude, and be motivated and committed to a career in food manufacturing.

This position requires shift work, with the team currently working an average of 42 hours per week across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Key Requirements:
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety and the ability to work safely
  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment (blowmould experience highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and hygiene standards
  • Mechanical aptitude and advanced problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team and with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work shift work and rotating rosters
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Attention to detail in completing paperwork
  • Good communication, literacy, numeracy, and computer skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement activities
