This role represents a key leadership position within our organization, offering clear potential for professional growth and advancement. As a senior quantity surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-profile projects across various sectors.

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading client engagements, mentoring junior team members, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle from feasibility through to final account. This includes leading pre- and post-contract cost management services, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and providing strategic commercial advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost management services across major projects
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, providing commercial advice
  • Oversee preparation of cost plans, estimates, tender reviews, and value engineering
  • Mentor a team of quantity surveyors and cadets
  • Provide commercial oversight and reporting, ensuring financial control and project efficiency
  • Contribute to business development and fee proposals with directors
  • Represent the organization in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with internal QA systems and industry standards
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, consultancy background preferred
  • Proven leadership in cost management and client-facing delivery
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • AIQS, RICS, or equivalent professional membership (or working toward)
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management
  • Experience working on mid- to large-scale building or infrastructure projects in Australia
