About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assessment Team Leader to join our Home Claims team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading teams that conduct digital/virtual/in-person assessments of properties insured by our client to determine cause, coverage & repair of damages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage direct reports to achieve great outcomes for internal & external stakeholders
  • Coach and develop your team to excel in accuracy, compliance, project management, software usage & techniques
  • Escalation point - resolve complex & escalated claims to support your team
  • Performance management – work with HR and your direct reports to regularly evaluate performance & collaboratively improve

Requirements:

  • Construction trade qualifications OR experience working in a similar position is essential
  • Computer competence (skills testing may be required)
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced high-pressure environments and ambition to grow alongside the business
  • Ability to prepare construction & damage repair quotes and estimations (training provided)
  • Completion of a background check during the interview process and prove full working rights in Australia
  • Proven experience leading teams
