Job Title: Female Support Specialist

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate support specialist to join our team in providing daily care and assistance to a lady living with support in her own home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the individual's family to make informed decisions on a daily basis.
  • Prompting and encouragement in all aspects of daily life, including domestic duties, personal care, medication, and life administration.
  • Organising social events, connecting with the local community, and being open to caring for animals as part of the daily support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in support work.
  • Open Driver's license and own vehicle with insurance.
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR.
  • NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain).
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Card) (or willing to obtain).
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Live within reasonable travelling distance.
  • Able to work in a smoke-free environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly active listening.
  • Ability to observe and adapt support style to the current situation.
  • High level attention to detail in structured, routine environments.
  • Ability to create 'fun' out of necessary daily tasks.
  • Experience with de-escalation and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Experience in support with Mental Health.

Available Shifts:

  • Weekday sleepovers 5pm - 6.30am.
  • Weekend sleepovers 4.30pm - 8.30am.
  • Weekday Day Shifts 9.30am - 2.30pm.

Salary Information:

  • Monday to Friday 6am - 8pm shift - $37.08 per hour.
  • Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am shift - $41.53 per hour.
  • Saturday - $51.92 per hour.
  • Sunday - $66.75 per hour.
  • Public Holidays - $81.59 per hour.
  • Sleepover allowance - $80.00 per shift.
