This role involves providing expert medical assessment and management of patients within a General Practice with Anaesthetics setting. It is a sessional position requiring on-call roster responsibilities.
- Possess or be eligible for full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) and/or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) and Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA) recognition.
- Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
- Sound clinical knowledge of the specialty of Anaesthetics demonstrated through successful currency of clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position, including evidence of participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
The position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the office of the Children's Guardian. Successful applicants will be required to obtain any necessary vaccinations prior to commencing employment.
