Colorectal Surgery Fellow

The Colorectal Surgery Fellow will be part of a dynamic team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, working in a busy tertiary colorectal unit. The successful candidate will participate in a mixed clinical/research role, contributing to the supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and medical students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and medical students.
- Conduct Colorectal Research and bring projects to publication and presentation.
- Work under supervision of senior consultant staff attached to the Colorectal Unit.
- Participate in general/colorectal on-call roster at fellow level.
Requirements:
- MBBS
- AHPRA Registration
- FRACS in general surgery
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
- Evidence of commitment to excellence in research
- Evidence of commitment to a career in colorectal surgery

About the Colorectal Department:
The St Vincent's Colorectal unit comprises 8 colorectal surgeons under the direction of Dr James Keck. The unit has a busy workload in particular in colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, laparoscopic colorectal surgery and pelvic floor investigation and treatment.
