Cooper Grace Ward Lawyers are seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join our team. As a Construction Lawyer Specialist, you will be working closely with developer clients and large asset owners to provide project advice on construction law.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in drafting and negotiating various construction and infrastructure agreements. You will have expertise in contract negotiation and drafting, as well as providing consultancy agreements, project term sheets, letters of intent, early works agreements, ECI and EPC contracts, tender contract documentation, and ancillary agreements.
You will also be responsible for advising contractors and subcontractors on tender submissions and construction contract negotiations. In addition, you will assist our litigation team in tribunals involving issues such as security and retention, variation and contract payment claims, and defects.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent knowledge and understanding of construction obligations supporting major development projects. You will also require outstanding attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide project advice to developer clients and large asset owners
- Draft and negotiate construction and infrastructure agreements
- Prepare consultancy agreements, project term sheets, letters of intent, early works agreements, ECI and EPC contracts, tender contract documentation, and ancillary agreements
- Advise contractors and subcontractors on tender submissions and construction contract negotiations
- Assist our litigation team in tribunals involving issues such as security and retention, variation and contract payment claims, and defects
