Local Government Lead

About the Position
The role of Local Government Lead – Metro North West requires a professional to deliver the Thriving Tennis Communities framework at a council level, via analysis and interpretation of data from the Health Indicator of Tennis Tool, to tell the story of tennis and ensure its health and sustainability across metropolitan Melbourne.
Key to success in this role will be the development of quality relationships with councils, local government, and broader tennis stakeholders to influence the strategic direction of tennis.
- Establish collaboration with councils and key tennis networks to drive positive change within the region.
- Analyze current and future trends for tennis within and across councils to inform regional planning.
- Work with staff managing club and venue relationships to optimize funding opportunities.
- Conduct regular reviews with councils to ensure progress towards Thriving Tennis Communities objectives.
- Support the establishment of new clubs at new venues and network planning.
About You
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A degree in Sports Management or relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong report writing, data analysis, and presentation skills.
- High computer literacy with Microsoft suite and database management skills.
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Flexibility regarding working hours and arrangements.
