Sushi Chef Position

At our esteemed establishment, we strive to provide exceptional dining experiences. To achieve this goal, we are seeking an accomplished Sushi Chef.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish to be used in sushi preparation.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Cut, slice, and fillet different types of fish (Salmon and Tuna).
  • Ensure a clean work environment, including sterilizing utensils and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks of food supplies.
  • Report any defective kitchen items to the Manager on duty.
  • Work closely with other Chefs of all levels.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef within a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Ability to produce high-quality Asian cuisine.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and numeracy.
  • Certificate IV in commercial cookery.
  • Full-time availability.
  • Strong work ethic and a 'can-do' attitude.
