Citic Pacific Mining is a leading mining and processing company in Australia, operating in the Pilbara region. Our integrated operation features a large open pit mine, a six-line concentrator, and port terminal facilities.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand - Electrical to join our Processing team at Dewatering on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth. The successful candidate will assist the Supervisor - Electrical in supervising installations and maintenance testing of electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining all plant instrument and electrical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Prioritizing electrical breakdown maintenance and contributing to timely completion of repairs.
  3. Performing routine checks and calibrations of area instrumentation.
  4. Completing planned and unplanned fixed plant maintenance, including servicing and repair of plant equipment.
  5. Completing preventative electrical maintenance schedules.
  6. Performing a range of multi-skilled tasks associated with the normal trade role.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by:

  1. Supervising, coaching, and training staff in new procedures to ensure all job requirements are understood.
  2. Ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are adhered to and communicated to all employees.
  3. Reviewing safe work procedures on a regular basis with maintenance teams.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  1. An Electrical Trade Qualification.
  2. A WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
  3. A Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation.
  4. Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSD's), Programmable Logic Control (PLC's) and Communication Protocols.
  5. Understanding of SAP.
  6. Previous Supervisory / Leading Hand experience.
  7. Cert IV Front Line Management is desirable.
  8. A current Driver's Licence.
