About the Role

The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth by taking ownership of financial operations, controls, and management information for the Business Unit. This position involves providing insight and influence to impact performance, maintaining a competitive advantage, and offering financial and contract support leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage contract governance, ensuring that all cost elements are appropriately accounted for.
  • Build strong relationships with account management and key clients, serving as a business partner.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and standard management reporting.
  • Review balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows, and supporting schedules, as well as standard consolidated reporting packs, for accuracy.
  • Approve basic monthly journal entries.
  • Contribute significantly to the monthly formal contract and business unit reviews.
  • Liaise with the CBRE APAC Finance or GWS APAC Financial Planning and Analysis team to fulfill ad hoc information requests.
  • Support GWS transformation and client initiatives, working closely with other functions to ensure alignment of deliverables and results.
  • Prepare accurate Business Unit reports in line with the monthly company timetable, including Profit & Loss accounts with analysis and commentary, Balance Sheet extracts, reconciliations, Project Profitability reporting, Profit & Loss forecasts, and annual plans.
  • Provide best-in-class Management Information to both clients and GWS management, including Actuals v Budget.
  • Be involved with financial planning and governance activities.
  • Offer ad-hoc support and financial analysis as required.

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant with membership in a recognized accounting organization (CPA/CA).
  • At least 6 years of post-qualified accountant experience.
  • Previous experience with service industry operations systems such as TM1 or Peoplesoft.
  • Financial planning and analysis experience, including budgets, forecasts, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Commercial experience with a track record of improving and delivering robust, accurate financial information, and adding value to a business.
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Management skills to maximize staff performance and others.
  • Experience working with GMP, Cost-plus, and Fixed-price commercial models is desirable.
