About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager/Director to lead our Audit and Assurance Quality team, responsible for ensuring the audit service line achieves quality outcomes on all engagements.

The Audit & Assurance Quality (AAQ) team is responsible for providing the relevant resources to achieve quality outcomes on all engagements undertaken by the service line. The team consists of various focus areas that support achieving quality outcomes on engagements as part of the overall system of quality management:

  • Audit Methodology
  • Assurance
  • Innovation and Technologies
  • Learning and Development
  • Monitoring and Remediation

The role offers an opportunity to lead a team and influence in various quality initiatives and activities across the team, specifically Audit methodology and tools and US engagements. You will be joining a dynamic, high-performing team that embraces a culture of continuous improvement with an aim of achieving quality outcomes on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities
  • Strategically guide, review and develop Australian specific guidance, tools and templates where necessary
  • Manage the delivery of audit library releases, including relevant resources and learning
  • Supervise implementation of the BDO Audit Approach for US engagements, specifically those engagements performed in accordance with PCAOB standards (preferred but not required)
  • Innovation of audit support tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop guidance and templates to support the implementation of data analytics
  • Respond to technical consultations where relevant to methodology, US engagements or tools
  • Collaborate with Learning team to create and deliver practical learnings
  • Lead a team to implement new auditing standards
  • Actively coach and develop team members
About You

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of auditing standards

  • Experience in the design and/or implementation of audit quality initiatives is desirable
