Job Summary:

This is a part-time, casual position that requires physical stamina and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have experience in gardening or landscaping and be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing natural beauty of grounds. This includes assisting with garden maintenance tasks like hedging, weeding, pruning, and mulching, as well as operating horticultural machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with garden maintenance tasks: hedging, weeding, pruning, and mulching
  • Operation of horticultural machinery: blowers, hedgers, whipper snippers, push mowers and ride-on mowers
  • General gardening tasks: weed identification and treatment, pest and disease management, planting, garden bed maintenance and plant nutrition
  • Removal of garden waste
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools, and equipment
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or related field preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to highest standards
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of team
  • Valid Driver's Licence, manual an advantage
  • White Card
  • Working with Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
