At Care for Choice, we are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Disability Support Worker.
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Disability or Mental Health, and be passionate about making a difference in the lives of clients with mental health and psychosocial needs.
The role involves providing support and care to clients in their homes and in the community, assisting them with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality support services that empower clients to achieve their goals and live independently.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
Flexible casual hours are available, including morning, afternoon, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
Responsibilities:- Providing individualized support to clients with mental health and psychosocial needs
- Assisting clients with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement client-centered plans
- Monitoring and reporting on client progress, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing strategies to address challenges
- Certificate IV in Disability or Mental Health
- Current Police Record Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain)
