The Mechanic will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining motor vehicles in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This includes ensuring company standards are maintained within all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Servicing vehicles in line with manufacturers' specifications and company standards, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance checks on fleet vehicles.
- Monitoring inventory and requesting new parts from the Service Administrator.
- Assembling mechanical components according to specifications.
- Performing diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Providing assistance to Trade Assistants when required.
- Completing Repair Orders.
- Providing breakdown assistance when necessary.
- Preparing vehicles for handback and sales.
- Testing and general servicing of workshop equipment for safety.
- Keeping accurate and on-time job records and recording servicing history in applicable systems.
- Conducting work in a safe manner, complying with Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental policies, procedures, and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Adhering to Company Quality Assurance and Uniform Guidelines.
- Attending company/manufacturer training as necessary.
- Working efficiently and effectively in a team environment to maintain a culture of service excellence and accomplish organisational goals under limited supervision.
- Driving vehicles as required.
- Full drivers' license (including manual vehicles).
- Trade qualification in Motor Mechanics.
- A customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable approach to work each day.
- Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
- $34.24 per hour + Penalties + Incentives.
