The salary for this role is estimated to be around $140,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lawyer/Associate to join our construction litigation team, working closely with Partners and other members of the team on mid and larger scale matters. The successful candidate will have approximately 3+ years' experience in a top/mid-tier firm working across a range of construction disputes, or transactional experience with an interest in moving into the litigation team.

  • Disputes relating to time (extension of time and delay costs), variations and defects arising on construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Litigated construction disputes in Victorian Courts
  • Arbitrations under domestic commercial arbitration legislation in Australia
  • Expert determination and mediation
  • Experience advising on construction insurance policies would be a bonus but is not essential.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong academic results and the ability to work both autonomously and within larger teams. A commitment to technical excellence and continuing learning and development is also essential.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must have a strong understanding of construction law and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

About You
