Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Social Worker to join our Queensland Centre of Excellence in Autism and Intellectual Disability Health. This permanent, part-time position will be based at our South Brisbane campus.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical assessment and treatment within the specialty of intellectual and developmental disability and across the age spectrum.
- Implement change to clinical practice and educate health professionals.
- Develop undergraduate curriculum in intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and initiate research and quality improvement activities.
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification giving eligibility for full membership of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Post registration experience in Social Work preferably in IDD with experience managing junior social work staff and students.
- Employees are required to undertake a National Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment.
- Current, full drivers' licence and compliance with any restrictions on their licence.
- Post graduate qualification or working towards in relevant field.
- Experience in working with people with IDD.
- Outpatient/community or outreach experience.
- Sound knowledge of NDIS application, process and review.
- Working towards mental health accreditation with AASW.
