The role of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This position description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

About the Role
The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence while remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed, and customer-focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct guard patrols across the premises and be responsible for security site unlock and lock-ups.
- Escort staff and personnel on site.
- Monitor CCTV footage and take appropriate action in breach situations.
- Direct roving security officers to respond to alarms and take appropriate action.
- Use appropriate methods of communication to report incidents and issues.
- Maintain logs and records of occurrences, complete necessary paperwork, and use a computer terminal to input and retrieve data.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Current South Australian Security License.
- Current South Australian Driver's License.
- Certificate II in Security Operations or higher.
- NV1 Clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.
- Must be over 18 years old.
