We're seeking caring individuals to join our team as Personal Care Workers. As a key member of our support staff, you'll play a vital role in providing holistic care to our clients in their own homes.

Job Description

As a Personal Care Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and assisting with daily activities, following the Client Care Plan
  • Working closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more
  • Identifying client care needs and working collaboratively with the client's care team to ensure high-quality, holistic care
  • Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and team members
  • Supporting clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent)
  • Current Senior First Aid HLTAID011, CPR HLTAID009, and Manual Handling HLTWHS005 certifications
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence
  • Federal Police Clearance within the last 6 months
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly clients
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care
  • Commitment to safety, infection control, and emergency procedures
