Cyber Security Expert for Digital Asset Protection

About the RoleThis exciting opportunity involves safeguarding our computer networks and systems, optimising security posture, and driving business growth. You will report to the Head of Cyber Security and collaborate with the Digital team to protect our digital assets.
Main Responsibilities- Monitor and respond to cyber security tickets and alerts, providing guidance and regular reports.
- Lead vulnerability assessments, analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities, develop remediation plans, and update the vulnerability management program.
- Implement and manage advanced threat protection solutions, respond to security alerts and incidents, conduct threat intelligence analysis, and maintain incident response plans.
- Support internal information security compliance activities including audits, evidence gathering, and assessment periods.
- Perform regular penetration testing, document findings, provide recommendations, and collaborate with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with the Cloud Security Specialist to conduct technical security assessments of cloud environments and infrastructure, and implement security controls and best practices.
- A broad understanding of firewalls, proxies, and network topology management.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM|XDR, DLP, SSE, CASB, EDR, and Vulnerability Management.
- Familiarity with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE, OWASP, Essential 8, and DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Foundational understanding of programming and scripting languages, including Python and PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- An estimated annual salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 based on experience and qualifications.
- A 9-day fortnight with no salary reduction.
