About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Manager to join our team at THE ICONIC. As a key member of our Planning department, you will be responsible for driving the segment strategy and contributing to the wider business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a mid to long-term strategic view to drive growth and profit for the segment that complements the company's mid to long-term targets.
  • Roll up and present the over segment strategy, ensuring a comprehensive strategy pack backed by a solid financial plan is delivered and implemented.
  • Lead company-wide projects from a Category Management view, providing support and ensuring completion.
  • Suggest actions to take based on potential future concerns, either based on economic or social trends.
  • Anticipate the Manager's needs and prepare documentation, analysis or responses ahead of time.
  • Work closely with the Manager to maximize profit for the season.
  • Monitor all facets of the segment, implement plans for any underperforming departments and identify ways to potentialise opportunities to still deliver segment KPI's.
  • Drive the focus for marketing campaigns and support.
  • Ensure promotional activity delivers the best possible outcome, retaining margin.
  • Support Company Planning with management of reporting Company wide and GFG.
  • Work closely with other Planning Managers to have a united Category Management approach.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, establishing strong relationships with key departments.
  • Use these relationships to strengthen Category Management and the segment's position.
  • Drive projects and improvements that require support and input from key stakeholders across the business.
  • Challenges, develops and inspires their team.
  • Keeps calm in the face of challenges and retains a positive demeanour.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and management skills, ensures deadlines are met and the team have a clear understanding of what is required of them at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working for an e-commerce fashion retailer is desirable.
  • 5+ years in Merchandise planning management is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with an open and honest approach.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure.
  • Proactive mindset with the ambition to drive improvements.
  • Thinking ahead mentality to continuously challenge the status quo.
  • Collaborates cross-departmentally, establishing strong relationships with other Category Management departments.
  • Uses these relationships to strengthen department's position.
  • A love for all things Fashion.
