About the Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to develop innovative product concepts and project specifications, collaborating closely with internal design and manufacturing teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing cutting-edge products including vehicle awnings, fridge slides, batteries, mounting trays, solar panel solutions, shower/awning ranges, and other off-grid adventure gear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop product concepts and project specifications, including reference drawing packages;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (customer service, marketing, retail) to communicate details of new products, updates, develop training documentation and manuals;
  • Provide technical resources and specifications to support development of training materials and product documentation;
  • Travel to our office and factories as required, with flexibility to accommodate urgent project needs;
Requirements
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design, with expertise in developing concept drawings and technical specifications for product development;
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in mechanical product design, preferably in automotive or outdoor equipment sectors, with senior-level ability to take ownership of projects;
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work rights for Australia;
