As a Dining Service Lead, you will oversee the smooth operation of our restaurant, leading service delivery and mentoring a high-performing team to create memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead restaurant service ensuring everything runs smoothly and to a high standard.
  • Support and guide team members during shifts to maintain exceptional service standards and attention to detail.
  • Manage daily tasks such as setting tables, cleaning, opening/closing the restaurant, and preparing drinks and service areas.
  • Help manage staff rosters, including filling shifts and adjusting when people are sick or unavailable.
  • Look after stock and supplies, including placing orders, conducting stock counts, and resolving any stock issues.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and report any serious problems to management.
  • Train new staff and support current team members to improve skills and service.
  • Run pre-shift meetings to prepare and motivate the team before service.
  • Ensure all safety and health rules are followed, both personally and by the team.
  • Collaborate with other departments and set a good example for the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a team leader or senior food and beverage service role, preferably within a hotel or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and delegation skills with a hands-on approach to service delivery.
  • Proven ability to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of stock and inventory management processes.
  • Understanding of workplace health & safety procedures and compliance.
  • Professional personal presentation and reliability.
