
Dining Service Lead

As a Dining Service Lead, you will oversee the smooth operation of our restaurant, leading service delivery and mentoring a high-performing team to create memorable dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead restaurant service ensuring everything runs smoothly and to a high standard.
- Support and guide team members during shifts to maintain exceptional service standards and attention to detail.
- Manage daily tasks such as setting tables, cleaning, opening/closing the restaurant, and preparing drinks and service areas.
- Help manage staff rosters, including filling shifts and adjusting when people are sick or unavailable.
- Look after stock and supplies, including placing orders, conducting stock counts, and resolving any stock issues.
- Communicate effectively with guests and report any serious problems to management.
- Train new staff and support current team members to improve skills and service.
- Run pre-shift meetings to prepare and motivate the team before service.
- Ensure all safety and health rules are followed, both personally and by the team.
- Collaborate with other departments and set a good example for the team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a team leader or senior food and beverage service role, preferably within a hotel or upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and delegation skills with a hands-on approach to service delivery.
- Proven ability to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Solid knowledge of stock and inventory management processes.
- Understanding of workplace health & safety procedures and compliance.
- Professional personal presentation and reliability.
