Head of Clean Energy and Transmission

Lead the New South Wales team for Turner & Townsend in Australia and New Zealand, driving projects and programs in the Clean Energy & Transmission sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and grow the NSW Clean Energy & Transmission team to deliver high-profile projects, bids, and programs from pursuit to execution.
- Develop and execute market strategies for capital projects in public and private sectors, managing relationships with key clients.
- Provide strategic leadership and expertise on project management, commercial management, and project controls, ensuring seamless interfaces with engineering and grid compliance teams.
- Pursue and respond to government tenders, drive growth through new and existing client relationships, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Represent the business at industry events and collaborations, mentor, and develop team members to achieve excellence.
- 20+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in the Energy and Transmission sectors.
- A recognized degree qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar fields.
- An electrical technical background is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proven track record of delivering major energy and transmission projects, understanding of the electricity value chain, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Preference for Australian experience with an established network within the power & transmission industry supply chain.
- Experience in both client and consultant environments, ability to lead key client partnering approaches and support growth.
- Proactive approach to business development and mentoring the team.
